Privacy Policy

Kelsie Waller Photography is a small photography business run by me, Kelsie Waller, a sole trader based in Brisbane, Queensland. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what I do with it. If you have any questions, email me at kelsiewallerphotography@gmail.com.

 

What I collect

  • When you send an enquiry: your name and email address, the session you’re interested in, a due date or baby’s birth date if you share one, your preferred dates, your suburb, where you’d like your session, how you found me, and anything you tell me about your story and plans.

  • When you book: the details you give me in your questionnaire and contract, and records of your payments. Sessions are paid by bank transfer, so I see the payment details that appear on my bank statement.

  • When you buy a gift card: your order details. Gift card payments are processed by PayPal, and I never see your card details.

  • At your session: photographs of you and your family.

  • When you visit this website: general information about how the site is used, such as pages visited and the type of device, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see below).

 

How I use it

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, plan and photograph your session, deliver your gallery, send invoices and receipts, keep the business records I’m required to keep, and improve this website. I don’t sell your information, and I won’t add you to a mailing list.

 

Your photos

Your photos are yours to enjoy. I only share images from your session publicly (on this website, my blog, Instagram, Facebook or Google) when you’ve given me permission, which I ask for in your questionnaire. If you change your mind, just let me know and I’ll remove them wherever I can.

 

Who else handles your information

I use a few trusted services to run my business, and your information may be stored on their systems, some of which are outside Australia:

  • Wix, which hosts this website and its enquiry forms

  • Unscripted, for contracts, questionnaires, invoices and online galleries

  • Google, for email and website analytics

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for the Instagram feed on this site and to understand how people find me

  • PayPal, for gift card payments

 

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies, small files stored by your browser, so the site works properly and so I can see how it’s being used. Wix and Google Analytics tell me things like how many people visit and which pages they view, and Meta may receive information about visits to the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

 

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry and client information for as long as I need it to provide your session and gallery, and financial records for as long as the law requires (usually five years). I keep archived copies of your session photos so I can help if you ever lose yours.

 

Keeping it safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using secure, password-protected services.

 

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing kelsiewallerphotography@gmail.com. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

 

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
